Vitamins are used as fuel to energize essential processes such as our metabolism, growth, and repair. They are organic compounds, effective in minute amounts, that the body cannot manufacture on it’s own. Even though we as humans only need minuscule amounts of a broad spectrum of vitamins, they are very important for our overall health because a deficiency of only one can rapidly produce symptoms associated with certain disease.

I’ve taken vitamins the majority of my life. My mother started me out on the flintstones chewable ones as a child and another vitamin supplement brand that i can’t remember at this moment. When i got older during my early teens we’d both take the Centrum and Theragram B multivitamin supplement. During my mid teens going into my late teens i begun to branch out to seek my own particular source of vitamins.

By eating fresh fruits, and vegetables that were not overly cooked to retain it’s vitamin value i was already getting most of my essentials. However, and aside from that, i still needed another source of steady vitamin intake since i was a vegetarian and did not eat fruits and vegetables every single day. My favorite vitamins were and still are the B Complex supplements. I have taken them for thirteen years straight.
